This is an authentic translation into English of two Kabbalah texts written in Hebrew by the modern Kabbalist, Rabbi Yehudah Lev Ashlag (1886-1955).

Moving easily from the experience of the individual to the role of humankind in Creation and back again, he teaches the interplay of light with its vessel. ה″הקדמה לספר הזוהר″ נכתבה על ידי הרב יהודה לייב אשלג זצ″ל, על מנת להביע את הרעיונות העיקריים המובאים בספר הזוהר עצמו, הספר המרכזי בתורת הקבלה.
הרב יהודה לייב אשלג זצ″ל (1886-1954) נחשב כיורשם הרוחני של מחבר הזוהר, התנא הגדול רבי שמעון בר יוחאי זצ″ל, ושל המקובל הרב יצחק לוריא (הארי זצ″ל).
כתבי הרב אשלג זצ″ל יוצרים מארג אחד עצום, כך כשמתחילים ללמוד מתורתו אפשר לתפוס רק חוטים בודדים ממנו, ולאט לאט מתרקמת בתוך הקורא/ת מעין אריגה, נהדרת ביופייה בתיאור דרכי הנשמות.
